Orcio Imprunetino

A terracotta vase that takes the traditional shape of the Tuscan jar, with small and massive handles and high shoulders wider than the belly. With a diameter almost equal to its height, Orcio Imprunetino has a mouth surrounded by a semicircular ring and a middle band with a geometric decoration. Between the handles, on both halves of the vase, are small floral rosettes. Orcio Imprunetino is available in eight sizes, from 53 cm in diameter up to the exceptional size of 158 cm which makes it an imposing and scenographic handcrafted vase. Used in the past to preserve oil or wine, the jar is a large terracotta vase that the Romans inherited from Etruscan houses.

1. Dimensioni e Colorazioni
Eventuali variazioni cromatiche e dimensionali sono dovute alla lavorazione artigianale ed alla materia prima utilizzata per i nostri manufatti.
Ogni imperfezione non è da considerarsi un difetto, ma un pregio che rende prodotto unico.

2. Foro drenaggio
É fondamentale che ogni vaso (vuoto o che ospiti una pianta) abbia un buon drenaggio dell’acqua:l’acqua ristagnate potrebbe congelare alle basse temperature e provocare rotture.
Per evitare questo spiacevole inconveniente è fondamentale provvedere a mantenere libero il foro di drenaggio dell’acqua.
É inoltre opportuno che il vaso non poggi direttamente sul suolo, ma venga leggermente rialzato per evitare che un terreno argilloso possa otturare dall’esterno il foro di uscita dell’acqua.

Prestando attenzione a non ostruire il/i fori di drenaggio si consiglia di procedere per strati:

_Pietrisco bianco 18-25 mm (sul fondo del vaso)
_Argilla espansa (Sovrastante al pietrisco)
_Terriccio (Sopra all'argilla espansa)
